Originally known as Thrapston Ventura, the club’s journey began in the Kettering Amateur League, where they achieved remarkable success, clinching league titles in 1970–71, 1972–73, 1973–74, 1976–77, and 1977–78. In 1978, Thrapston Town FC embraced a new challenge by stepping up to Division Two of the United Counties League. They swiftly made their mark, securing a commendable third-place finish in their inaugural season.
